LAUREL, Md. — The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) and its regional partners include skill-building programs, webinars and networking opportunities among their upcoming events during the month of February.
They are designed, the organization says, to help fabricare professionals improve their operations, customer service and profitability.
Attracting Attention
On Feb. 25, DLI will present via Zoom its featured webinar, “How to Attract Media Attention,” led by Ray Kroner of Kroner Cleaners in Cincinnati and DLI Communications Director Harry A. Kimmel III. This presentation, DLI says, “will help participants develop press releases and events to raise their profile with local media outlets.”
It’s free for DLI members and will be available as an on-demand video after the event.
Virtual Stain Removal Course
Enrollment closes Jan. 30 for DLI’s next Virtual Basic Stain Removal Course, which will start on Feb. 17. “The course gives staff hands-on experience with techniques and processes to improve cleaning results, reduce re-cleans and build staff confidence on the spotting board,” DLI says. Students receive a set of sample stains and follow along live with the expert instructor.
The course is ideal for new technicians, experienced staff or any staff member looking to strengthen quality control and customer satisfaction, DLI adds.
Marketing and Peer Networking Opportunities
DLI’s monthly Marketing Masterclass, scheduled for Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. EST, will be on the topic of “Actionable Marketing Moves to Build Brand Voice and Attract More Customers.”
Each one-hour Masterclass “breaks down practical strategies to help cleaners improve visibility, strengthen customer relationships, and increase revenue,” the Association says.
Also, DLI presents weekly Peer-to-Peer meetings at 11:30 a.m. Eastern each Tuesday “to create a supportive space for members to share challenges, exchange innovative ideas and gain fresh perspectives from fellow operators.”
